Queen Rearing Course

The course is run every other year and will show the Grafting and Miller Method of queen rearing for the hobbyist beekeeper to raise a few queens or to rear a larger volume of queens. The course will take each delegate through:

• Setting up cell raiser environment
• Selecting the best colonies and queens to breed from
• Production of queen cells
• Distribution of queen cells and apideas
• Evaluation of Mated queens
• Queen introduction
• How to look after a mini nuc
• Clipping and Marking a queen

The Queen Rearing Course will take place over 2 days (weekend) from 10:00 – 16:30 – the next course is 2028
