Junior Summer Camp – Tuesday 28 July

Get involved in beekeeping! Whether you want an introduction to the world of the honey bee, or you want to keep your own bees, join Surrey Bees at our apiary in Pyrford, Woking for the day.

Surrey Bees takes an active part in the education of  young people  in Beekeeping  through visits to local schools and our summer camps. We also invite young beekeepers to study and pass the BBKA Junior Assessment Certificate.

Junior Summer Camp 2015 – Tues 28 July
For aspiring beekeepers age 9 and upwards

Itinerary
10:00 am  Introduction to Bees and View through an observation Hive
11:00 am  Get kitted out with bee suits and meet the bees
12:30 pm  Lunch
13:30 pm  Design your own Honey Label
15:00 pm  Extract honey and jar up
16:30 pm  Take Jar of Honey Home

Please note: Parent or Guardian must be in attendance throughout the day.

Cost for the day: £35 each or £60 for 2 siblings

Please bring your own packed lunch: cold drinks will be provided for children and hot/cold beverages
for parents/guardians. Your child will need to bring their own wellington boots or will not be able to
participate in meeting the bees.
